Where to start?

I used a mainframe computer in the mid 1960's at the University of Leicester, UK. It was (I think) called an Elliott 803, a British machine. I'd like to know more about it. I can remember that it didn't seem to have a memory and had to be programmed prior to every job, using punched paper tape.

I often wonder how it's capabilities compare with modern stuff.
